What to Bring

Almost everyone succumbs to the beach, so bring close-toed shoes or Teva's to get mucky and wet, and a change of shoes and socks. Expect sun so bring your hat and sun glasses. Despite the heat of the day, bring a jacket and long pants as the evenings can cool off thanks to the sea breeze. Don't forget a camera. Bring old photographs to share, mementos of Sri Lanka—and why not a sarong or sari to wear?
